Hey all, it’s Wedding Thursday and we’re so excited to share James & Andrew’s industrial rustic wedding at The Loading Dock in Stamford, Connecticut! Why is it Wedding Thursday you ask? Because I couldn’t get it together on Wednesday (laughing emoji here).
Jimmy and Andrew had zero degrees of separation but never knew it – they went to the same high school but didn’t know each other (Andrew was a senior and Jimmy was a freshman). They also worked across the street from each other for a year but never knew it! They were eventually connected and had their first date right as Andrew was entering grad school and had just moved to New York City from Connecticut. Over the course of the next two (grueling) years of working full time and going to school they made it work, driving back and forth two to three times a week to see each other. Fast forward two moves, one home purchased, one move across the country to Houston where they currently live and one furry child – they can’t imagine their lives without each other.
Andrew and Jimmy had such a fun and wonderful wedding day at The Loading Dock where they seamlessly blended industrial and rustic styles together – it was such fun getting to know them as a couple by spending time with them and also by talking to their friends and families. I (Erin) definitely teared up during their ceremony and also during their first dance! The Loading Dock is such a fantastic venue and I’m so excited that we found out about it, it is so unusual and full of possibilities and I’m already daydreaming about the next wedding we will photograph there.
