Oh heyyy, I hope you’re all staying warm and enjoying the snow! I’m definitely not a snow person but I can appreciate it’s prettiness – as long as I don’t have to drive in it. I’m still trying to blog more often because we have all of these beautiful weddings to share with you so I decided on Liz & Dave’s colorful Lighthouse Point Park wedding today!
Liz & Dave met their freshman year of college and played violin together in the orchestra – they started dating the following year and have spent the last nine years (or maybe 10 now since I’m so behind on blogging?!) traveling the world together! Literally. They travel ev.ery.where, and in addition to traveling everywhere they lived in Australia for a while – so cool! All of their table numbers at the wedding were places they’ve traveled which was a super personal and creative way to incorporate that part of their lives; they also had photos of them on their adventures as the seating chart! Also – whenever Peter and I meet with couples we always ask them if they have anything special planned for the wedding that we should know about and a lot of people give us crazy looks but Liz and Dave are the perfect example of that – halfway through the reception they got up on the stage area, pulled out their violins and played a duet with the band – no one knew about it! I almost started crying and I don’t even know why haha.
The weather for their wedding day called for rain and it was beautiful and sunny all day — until the ceremony. You can see the clouds rolling in in the photos and it held off until about halfway through when it started drizzling which everyone ignored, then it started raining more and all of the staff brought out umbrellas, and then it was torrential rain and everyone had to move to the pavilion area for the last 5 minutes. Luckily Liz and Dave are so relaxed and everyone just laughed about it so it was fine! And wouldn’t you know as soon as the ceremony ended the sun came out again and there was a rainbow!
But enough words – I’m sure on a mobile device this text looks endless haha. Liz and Dave, congratulations and thank you for allowing us to be with you guys on your wonderful wedding day!
