GUYS! I am so excited to share Cassidy & Dom’s intimate backyard wedding with you today!

I have so many things to say about this wedding and no idea how to make it all flow nicely so this post might be a hot mess – sorry! To begin with, I met Cassidy when she was nine – NINE! My sister Amy and I had changed ballet schools in 2006 and the first day I was there I met a girl named Morgan and we instantly became best friends – and Cassidy and Morgan are sisters so it was only natural that Amy and Cassidy became best friends too!

When Cassidy mentioned that she met a guy, I was like oh cool! and then moved on. Little did I know they would be getting engaged a few months later and then married shortly after that. I didn’t meet Dom until the wedding day but every time he was brought up in conversation before that at least one person would say ‘oh my gosh Dom is so adorable and sweet’ (my mom included!) so I knew that he had to be a great guy! Every time he looks at Cassidy you can basically see hearts in his eyes – kinda like this:

Cassidy is the funniest and sweetest person in the world and Dom compliments her perfectly. This is the first wedding that I’ve ever photographed without Peter (but I had my sister Amy as an assistant and a ton of these pictures are hers because she’s amazing!) and I was secretly terrified (shhh!) but wound up having such an amazing time. The entire wedding was so family oriented and it was just a celebration of two people who are in love – they didn’t do anything because they had to, they just spent time with their families and had fun. It’s honestly one of my favorite weddings that I’ve ever been to and it’s the first wedding that made me cry while I was editing! Every time I opened my laptop and saw any of their photos I couldn’t stop myself.

It’s also the first blog post that I’ve included father/daughter dance photos in – I usually don’t post them but you can just tell how much everyone loves each other and it all makes me so happy so I wanted to share it here.

Congratulations Cassidy & Dom, I <3 you both.

OH and my sister Amy made the cake and cupcakes and she does it for a lot of weddings if anyone is interested, wink wink.

Hello and happy Saturday, we’re so excited to share Lauren & Adam’s Riverhouse Wedding with you today! Lauren and Adam grew up in the same town but didn’t meet each other until college where they started dating – we were lucky enough to meet them at Lauren’s brothers wedding that we photographed (see that here)! We knew that we were destined to get along when Lauren told us about their love of Disney in the first email that she ever sent us – evidenced by their wedding cake!

They had such a sweet and beautiful wedding at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station and we feel so lucky to have been there. Not only was the wedding gorgeous, but all of the staff at The Riverhouse are so nice and welcoming which makes the day so much smoother and so much fun! Congratulations L + A, we loved spending time with you!

Hey all, it’s Wedding Thursday and we’re so excited to share James & Andrew’s industrial rustic wedding at The Loading Dock in Stamford, Connecticut! Why is it Wedding Thursday you ask? Because I couldn’t get it together on Wednesday (laughing emoji here).

Jimmy and Andrew had zero degrees of separation but never knew it – they went to the same high school but didn’t know each other (Andrew was a senior and Jimmy was a freshman).  They also worked across the street from each other for a year but never knew it! They were eventually connected and had their first date right as Andrew was entering grad school and had just moved to New York City from Connecticut.  Over the course of the next two (grueling) years of working full time and going to school they made it work, driving back and forth two to three times a week to see each other. Fast forward two moves, one home purchased, one move across the country to Houston where they currently live and one furry child – they can’t imagine their lives without each other.

Andrew and Jimmy had such a fun and wonderful wedding day at The Loading Dock where they seamlessly blended industrial and rustic styles together – it was such fun getting to know them as a couple by spending time with them and also by talking to their friends and families. I (Erin) definitely teared up during their ceremony and also during their first dance!  The Loading Dock is such a fantastic venue and I’m so excited that we found out about it, it is so unusual and full of possibilities and I’m already daydreaming about the next wedding we will photograph there.

Congratulations to Andrew & Jimmy, thank you for allowing us to photograph your day!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to share these Harkness State Park engagement photos with you! Alyssa emailed us on March 14 about photographing their engagement and 12 days later we met up with them on one of the coldest days of the year so far. Okay okay, maybe it wasn’t that cold, but it was cold enough that Alyssa said they probably would’ve thought twice about meeting that day had we known haha (and also Mike lost circulation in his fingers but that’s besides the point)! Alyssa and Mike were such good sports about it and we ended up having such a great time with them – you really can’t even tell how cold it was!

They are so nice and fun and when Peter and I were talking about the day when it was over, we both agreed that it was like hanging out with friends! Alyssa was also sweet enough to write us a review which made me so incredibly happy when I read it:

“Erin and Peter are absolutely amazing! If you are looking for photographers who make you feel comfortable, respond promptly, are flexible to your wants and needs, and capture sweet moments, Daphne and Dean Photography is by far the best choice. They did our engagement photos with less than two weeks notice and even braved through the yucky weather to take beautiful pictures for us, while still making it so much fun! The quality of their pictures and service exceeds all expectations. Truly a pleasure to work with!”

Congratulations on your engagement you two!
